Some Of The Best Movie Bad Guys

Jigsaw (Saw)

No Jigsaw, I don't want to play a game...any game, at least not with you? He's the kind of guy who wouldn't be happy if you won at snakes and ladders. He would probably rig the game so when you won a snake would actually come out of the game and eat your face off, the prick.

The Emporer Ming- (Flash Gordon)

Ming The Merciless was one evil bad guy. His flamboyant nature and sophisticated attire made him a force to be taken seriously. I guess in the 80's over the top exaggeration with superb eyebrows was one of the things that would strike fear into the hearts of children and men alike. I have to say, looking back now Ming wasn't the most fearsome bad guy of all time, however he was rather flashy. He deserves to sit on his throne, for the eyebrows alone.

Anton Chigurh (No Country for Old Men)

Javier Bardem did an amazing job as Anton Chigurh, the kind of bad guy who keeps you up at night scared to go to sleep. If you haven't seen No Country for Old Men you will find it distrubing, so disturbing that someone as sinister and evil as Anton Chigurh could ever be real. His weapon of choice was a captive bolt pistol and would decide the fait of his victims by flipping a coin. You've got a 50/50 chance of not getting your head blown the fuck off.

Hans Gruber (Die Hard)

Hans Gruber, played by the brilliant Alan Rickman was truly a nasty baddie. Luckily the elusive John McClaine was strong enough to take him down. Hans Gruber was one of those bad guys that was methodical and single minded in his quest for power. His intelligence was his greatest asset.

Col. Hans Landa (Inglorious Basterds)

The infamous 'Jew Hunter', the sadistic madman would slaughter and maim anything that stood in his path, enjoying the process thoroughly. The greatest thing about Col. Hans Landa was his intelligence and detective work. He could spot a lier and a snake from a mile away, he was also a linguist who could speak a number of different languages. Christophe Waltz was, in my opinion, the best thing about Inglorious Basterds. Every scene with him in was incredible. His pipe was to be admired, also.

Agent Smith (The Matrix)

Even though Smith doesn't exist in the physical reality, he does exist as a computer program. An evil computer program set on infecting everything he comes in contact with, complete corruption, with one sole purpose, to destroy, everyone and everything. He's a man who's tired living in a fake world, having to do the same repetitive tasks. Hugo Weaving managed to create so much with the character of Agent Smith, his evil presence was scary. As soon as you saw a man with shades and a suit in The Matrix, be prepared to run.

Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm Street)

The child molesting creep deserves to be on the list, his face was hideously scared while the towns people of Springwood. After they found out about Freddy's evil ways they turned against him and left him dead. Although, Freddy is such a badass when he died he came back exacting revenge on all of those who wronged him. Because Freddy didn't exist in the real world anymore he came after them within their dreams, the worst part of all, because the dreams were under his control. As a kid, Freddy Krueger was probably one of the scariest bad guys ever. He gave me insomnia for quite a long time.

Norman Stansfield (Leon)

Leon is one of those movies that you can watch again and again, for the reason of two performances, the first one being Jean Reno, playing the role of Leon. The second, Gary Oldman's portrayal of the cruel Norman Stansfield, the sadistic law enforcer was someone who you wouldn't want to mess with. I think Gary Oldman can play any role, but he plays a bad guy to perfection.

David (The Lost Boys)

David, played by Kiefer Sutherland was one of the first movie bad guys who donned a mullet but didn't manage to look weird, in fact, David was quite frightening. I think in essence Vampires are quite a scary mythology. Emphasising that with a crazy mullet and scary goth clothes definitely puts the scare factor up to 10. Kiefer Sutherland has one of them voices that does seem quite scary. Remind me never to be down a dark alley with Kiefer Sutherland (Not like that would ever happen anyway).

Predator (The Predator)

The Predator is one of those baddies that you can't help but like, and even in some cases root for. Don't get me wrong he's a bit of a dick. In fact a massive dick, but he at least lives by a code, a code of honour! Which is, he wants a fight, a fair fight with enemies who can challenge him. Those innocent, who don't carry weapons or wish for violence, he leaves, in peace. As you can see in Predator 2, nothing is more worthy than a perfect battle.

Chucky

Chucky is a doll. Like 3ft tall or something.... He doesn't seem like much, but he certainly knows how to slice and dice his enemies, not just his enemies, just anyone who gets in his way. the sadistic ginger with no soul certainly knows how to wield that maniacal knife around like a lunatic. I think the scariest thing about Chucky is that he is so small, he can hide in small spaces and jump out when you least expect it. Even though he looks like a doll/child he has the voice of a man. The scary little shit. I think I could take him. I'd kick him in his stupid ginger face.

Buffalo Bill (Silence of the Lambs)

Buffalo Bill is about as evil as a human can get, I can understand Chucky and The Predator, but I think Bill is on a different level, because he is human, just like everyone else. His malice is unrivalled, the cross dressing hippy who likes to wear peoples faces for fun certainly nearly tops the list, I think his dungeon where he traps his victims is about as low as it can get.

Leatherface (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre)

Leatherface is the wheedling chainsaw mad man who enjoys cutting up teenagers into little pieces, Leatherface has been re incarnated over the years, getting larger and larger, he's pretty much the scariest dude ever. You certainly wouldn't want to have a sleepover at Leatherfaces house that's for sure.

Ivan Drago (Rocky 4)

Rockys arch nemesis Ivan Drago, well, maybe not as much as Apollo Creed in Rocky and Rocky 2, however, Ivan Drago upset Rocky... he killed his best friend and comrade Apollo Creed. I think that pissed Rocky off, a lot. Rocky 4 is probably one of my favourites from the franchise, it's just so over the top, filled with testosterone and steroids, what's not to love? It has one of the coolest 'training' montages in history, who can forget Ivan Drago's famous quote too. If he dies, he dies.

Little Bill Daggett (Unforgiven)

Little Bill was a complete dick. He never seemed like the biggest threat in the world, but there was something very creepy about him. He was brutal and unforgiving, no pun intended. Little Bill was played superbly by Gene Hackman, if you haven't seen Unforgiven it's a movie you should be sure to check out!

Bricktop (Snatch)

Ellooow Guvnorrrrr. Bricktop is a son of a bitch, a swine, Snatch however is a very good movie. Probably one of the best gangster british movies of all time. Bricktop make no mistake about it is merciless, self sufficient and insanely evil. He condones feeding corpses to pigs, that's about as fucked up as it gets.
